Family values are the foundation of Noralta Lodge. Guided by family values as well as by our deep understanding of what our clients and guests need, we have grown from a humble company with 15 available rooms and three employees into a world-class organization.
Developing our people so that they have fulfilling careers is important to us, and to our future growth as a company. Noralta Lodge encourages our team members and leaders to develop their capabilities through the following opportunities:
We set our new team members on the path to success by providing them with a dedicated on-boarding experience. On your first day with the Noralta Lodge family, you’ll learn about your role, our expectations, and the benefits we offer. We will also introduce you to our team and to remote living.
New staff are properly trained so they know what’s expected in their role and have the tools to do their job effectively and safely.
Everyone at Noralta Lodge is encouraged to learn about our business and operations as well as about the various roles in our organization. When possible, we allow flexible scheduling to allow team members to develop new skills by exploring different roles.
Noralta Lodge team members identify and work toward their dream career through our development planning program. In this program, you identify your short- and long-term career goals and work with our Human Resources team to develop your skill set and improve your abilities so you can get to where you want to go.
We provide mentoring initiatives that incorporate growth opportunities and skill transfer based on the specific skills, roles, and technical expertise you’re looking for. Team members of any age can be mentors or mentees, depending on what they want to learn and what they have to teach others.
Enjoy a challenging and rewarding career by becoming a qualified tradesperson. Our Culinary, Fleet, Maintenance, and Trades departments partner with various learning centres to help team members prepare for careers in the trades.
Noralta Lodge encourages all team members to develop their capabilities through internal and external learning opportunities and courses. These include, but are not limited to:
We set our new leaders on the path to success by providing them with an on-boarding experience that includes an introduction to all departments, company policies, key people, and standard operating procedures. We give you the tools and resources you need to understand our organization, culture, and business so that you can effectively lead our most valuable resource—our people.
At Noralta Lodge, we recognize that leadership is learned and we encourage our team to grow with us. Our internal Leadership Development Curriculum helps team members develop leadership capabilities, and we encourage team members to join our leadership team through succession development planning.
